Miimo by Honda robotic lawn mower uses a microcomputer, timer and sensors to provide automated, unattended grass cutting within a defined lawn area.

The Miimo is essentially the Roomba for your lawn — except instead of cleaning, it’s cutting.

While many robotic lawnmowers are limited to smaller yards, the Miimo can mow up to an acre! This automated mower can also handle angles up to 25-degrees, making this device ideal for yards in Connecticut with a few semi-steep slopes. One of the real standout features with the Miimo the smartphone app. You can adjust the lawn cutting height, start or stop the unit, and also manage a calendar, all from your smartphone.

If you haven’t already questioned its safety, the may calm your nerves. The company says the automated Miimo works using a microcomputer, timer and 360 degree sensors. Those sensors reportedly keep the Miimo from, say, running over your foot or a small dog.

Honda recently announced it will begin selling the Miimo in the United States at select Honda retail locations this summer for a retail price of about $2,500.
